Alex investigated aphid associations with facultative endosymbionts in Myzus persicae sampled from several rapeseed fields. Alex's BSc project generated new insights into aphid-endosymbiont relationships in this species, and was published in Bulletin of Entomological Research.

Alex also supported the team with field work in summer and autumn as an intern in 2021 and 2022.
